Kate Middleton French magazine Closer Photos Upset Royals
French magazine Closer published a series of photos of Britain's Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, sunbathing topless on Friday. Closer says the pictures will appear in its latest issue, due to be released on 14 September.
These photos, which are entitled as “OH MY GOD – the photos that will go around the world”, by French magazine, show Kate Middleton topless on the terrace of a guest house. According to The Telegraph, the Duke and Duchess were told about the pictures during breakfast as they prepared for the fourth day of their tour of the Far East.
A spokesman for Clarence House, the Prince of Wales's office, said,   "The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and Duchess for being so. Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them."
Now, royal officials have decide to sue the magazine which is not run by the same company as the British title, it is run by Italian business Mondadori, owned by former president Silvio Berlusconi's holding company Fininvest, Daily Mail reports.
Closer quipped in the photo spread, which it claimed as a world exclusive, "Harry started the fashion: these days the Windsors take their clothes off." "We can say that after tomorrow's Closer, Harry will feel less alone ..." Closer's editor Laurence Pieau tweeted. The comment has drawn angry reactions from fans of the Duchess.

Kate Middleton Topless Scandal Ruling: French Court Demands Closer Destroy Pics

A French court has ruled in favor of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge regarding the Kate Middleton topless pics in Closer magazine, prohibiting all publication.
However, the ruling does not apply to other magazines - Italy's Chi and Ireland's Daily Star have also ran with the topless and nude photos - outside of France.
There's also the widespread dissemination of the photos via the Internet.
Nevertheless, the court called the invasion of Kate and Prince William's privacy a "brutal display" and ordered Closer to immediately turn over all copies of the pics.
That includes digital copies. Failure to do so means a $13,100 fine. Per day.
The palace has also filed a criminal complaint against those responsible for the Kate Middleton pictures ... whoever that might be. The photographer is still unknown.
Whoever it was took the photos of Kate Middleton topless from a LONG distance away.
As she sunbathed on the balcony of a French chateau with Prince William, Kate clearly had NO idea anyone was watching during their holiday at a private residence.

Italian mag Chi & The Irish Daily Star publish Kate Middleton photos
The royal family has decided to sue French magazine Closer, but this threat has not any affect on Italian magazine Chi and the Republic of Ireland edition of the Irish Daily Star. According to BBC News, gossip magazine Chi is understood to be planning a 26-page photo special of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on holiday in the south of France, to run in an edition next week.
Following the news, the website of The Irish Daily Star has been crashed. Chi's front cover will also feature three revealing pictures of Catherine, according to a copy of the page sent by Mondadori via e-mail. A court in Nanterre near Paris said the royal couple's lawyer had filed a motion to expedite the procedure, and Closer's publishers would be heard on Monday.
The editor of Chi Alfonso Signorini said in a statement, "This is a deserving topic because it shows in a completely natural way the daily life of a very famous, young and modern couple in love." He defended the decision to publish them, saying the photos are tasteful and respect Kate's dignity.
Meanwhile, Laurence Pieau, the editor of Closer, also spoke with AFPabout these photos, "These photos are not in the least shocking. They show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches."
According to Mondadori's website, Closer has an average weekly circulation of about 414,000, while Chi sells more than 340,000 copies a week. The Daily Telegraph's Willard Foxton insisted in his blog to take steps about such kind of paparazzi.
Willard Foxton wrote in his blog, "We need to do something about this problem before it gets out of hand – even if that means Prince Phillip guarding his grandson's bedroom with a shotgun." The official spokesman of British Prime Minister David Cameron said to BBC while reacting on the issue, "The view from Downing Street is that they are entitled to their privacy."
William and Kate are said to be feeling "anger and disbelief at the publication of the photographs, taken while on a private holiday. A close source of the royal couple said that William and Kate are not happy with this and thinking to file a case against the magazine. While on the other side, magazine has removed those racy images from the website.
